BUFFALO BRAVES BASKETBALL

Joining the Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers, the Buffalo Braves began their inaugural NBA season in 1970. Named for the Native American history of Buffalo, NY, the Braves started things off right with a 107-92 in their very first game. However, the victory came at the hands of fellow expansion squad Cleveland, who would go on to post the NBA’s worst record in 1970. The club would spend eight seasons in Buffalo before moving to San Diego and assuming the moniker, Clippers.
