VICTORIAN BUFFALO

[10]

VICTORIAN BUFFALO was written by one of Buffalo’s most exceptional and knowledgeable citizens, Cynthia Van Ness. The paperback showcases the rich and extraordinary architecture from the 19th century, some of which are still eminent and standing today. Van Ness indicates structures that have survived to tell its historic tale and bless us with its beauty and presence today by stamping the page with a Buffalo icon. As for the buildings that have departed, Van Ness has documented its existence attached with an image, painting, or lithograph. Each building is also accompanied with a short blurb. Although a blurb is never sufficed for me, due to the fact that I like to obtain thorough history, the book provides a great way to inform and expose the general dilettante or dabbler.

I rate this book 4/5 Buffalos!
